Dr Princy Rekhi, president of Seattle King County Dental, was invited to perform the ribbon cutting ceremony of Swedish Community Specialty Clinic dental program.Oral health services have become less available to low-income individuals, developmentally disabled and elderly populations since the state funding of adult Medicaid dental programs was cut in January, 2011. In response to the need, Swedish opened Swedish Community Specialty Clinic (SCSC) which is committed to providing excellent medical care to all in need, regardless of their ability to pay. This dental program is part of that Clinic.
It is inspiring for the whole Indian community to have young doctors like Princy Rekhi, involved, and being recognized, at such special occasions.
Dr Rekhi graduated from Inglemoor High School as a valedictorian. He has been one of the only 25 candidates selected to join the School of Dentistry right after high School. He started his first practice just four months after receiving the DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) in 2003. Dr Rekhi is the youngest ever dentist to be elected as President of the Seattle King County Dental Society.
